ABOUT JGK LAB AFRIQA
The basic purpose of JGK Lab AfriQA is to support laboratory quality assurance programs and provide specialised services enabling laboratories to function optimally and in line with international requirements.
PROFICIENCY TESTING SCHEMES
Proficiency testing is an interlaboratory test comparison which helps monitor procedures from outside the laboratory. Being an external quality assurance procedure, interlaboratory test comparison provides among others unbiased external measure of the accuracy of laboratory procedures.
JGK Lab AfriQA provides proficiency testing schemes that are carefully designed to determine laboratories’ capability to conduct specific diagnostic tests.
All schemes are designed and coordinated by Dr. Joule-Gaby Kangumba (Click her to Read His Expertise). They include: Antimicrobial susceptibility tests, Brucella, Clinical veterinary microbiology (Diagnostic bacteriology, serology, virology, mycology and mastitis), Veterinary public health (milk hygiene, food hygiene and antibiotic residues), Reproduction and Toxicology.
QUALITY CONTROL AND REFERENCE MATERIALS, AND PANELS FOR METHOD VALIDATION
JGK Lab AfriQA manufacturers and supplies QC and Reference materials of high quality for daily internal monitoring of laboratory procedures (assuring the quality of test results), training of technical staff (personnel competence) and between analyst comparisons (internal precision).
In the same line we provide positive and negative panels for method validation. Each disease/condition for which we provide PT samples we can also supply samples for method validation.
All our products are well-characterized by means of multi-laboratory and multi-method testing and come with known uncertainty.

CONSULTANCY
JGK Lab AfriQA offers training opportunities in Veterinary quality assurance program (Module 1), Method validation and uncertainty of measurements in veterinary laboratories (Module 2) and Readiness for accreditation in veterinary laboratories (Module 3).
Module 2 (Method validation and uncertainty of measurements in veterinary laboratories) is SAVC accredited (accreditation number: AC/1551/16) and provides 26 CPD points.
JGK Lab AfriQA can help you design, develop, implement and monitor your quality management systems according to the desired ISO standard from scratch.
Similarly, JGK Lab AfriQA can help you design and carry out your method validation experiments from scratch, then, analyze all validation data and compile method validation and uncertainty of measurements reports.
